SPECIAL COVER : AASTHA COOCHBEHAR PHILATELIC EXHIBITION 2003






Three days philatelic exhibition named Aastha Coochbehar Philatelic Exhibition 2003 was held from November 8 to 10, 2003. The theme chosen for the exhibition was Princely States of India. Four special covers on landmarks of Cooch Behar — the Cooch Behar palace, Raash mela, Jenkins School and Cooch Behar head post office was released designed by Dipok Dey.

This was the first instance illustration of Coochbehar was featured on Special Covers of India.

Autograph - KL Rahul (Cricket)



Kannur Lokesh Rahul (born 18 April 1992), commonly known as KL Rahul, is an Indian cricketer. A top-order batsman and occasional wicket-keeper, he plays for India internationally, Karnataka in domestic circuit and is captain of Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League.

Rahul made his international debut in 2014 and scored his maiden Test century in his second Test match. He became the first Indian to score a century on One Day International debut, and became the third Indian to score a century in all three formats of international cricket.

Lokesh Rahul set the record for the fastest batsman to have scored centuries in all three formats in just 20 innings surpassing the record of Ahmed Shehzad who took 76 innings. He is the first player in T20I history to score a century when batting at number 4 position or lower (110*). On 3 July 2018, Rahul smashed his second T20 International ton against England. He is also the first Indian batsman to be dismissed hit-wicket in T20Is.

In 2014.-15 Ranji Trophy, Rahul became Karnataka's first triple-centurion, scoring 337 against Uttar Pradesh. He was in India's squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

Autograph - Gundappa Viswanath (Cricket)




Gundappa Ranganath Viswanath (born 12 February 1949) is a former Indian cricketer. He was one of India's finest batsmen throughout the 1970s. Viswanath played Test cricket for India from 1969 to 1983 making 91 appearances and scoring over 6000 runs. He also played in One Day Internationals from 1974 to 1982 including the World Cups of 1975 and 1979.
On his Test match debut, Viswanath scored a century against Australia at Kanpur in 1969 in a drawn match. He also recorded a duck in the same game, one of only four batsmen to have done this in their first match. Viswanath is one of three players to score a century in both his first class and Test debuts. He scored 13 more centuries in his Test career and none of them came in a match that was lost.
Viswanath also had a brief stint as the Indian captain in 1979–80. In the two Tests he captained, one was drawn and one was lost, the latter being the Golden Jubilee Test against England. Throughout his career, Viswanath was renowned for his sense of fair-play, and in this match he recalled Bob Taylor to the crease after the umpire had already given him out. Taylor went on to score some vital runs for England helping them to win the match.
Viswanath was awarded Col. C K Naidu Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009 by BCCI which is one of the highest awards given in Indian cricket. He also received the Arjuna award in the year 1977-78.
