Bhuvneshwar
Kumar Singh is an Indian international cricketer
who plays all formats of the game. He plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic
cricket and for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.
Kumar forayed onto the
international scene in 2012 by making his T20I debut against Pakistan. The
match took place in Bengaluru and Kumar took 3 wickets for 9 runs in 4 overs in
the match and had an economy rate of 2.25.
He made his ODI debut
against Pakistan as well. On his very first ball, he dismissed Mohammad Hafeez.
He made his test debut in 2013 Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. He holds
the record of being the highest Indian test scorer at number 10 (38 runs).
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was a
part of the 2013 Champions Trophy winning team. He was also adjudged the Man of
the Tournament in 2013 during the Tri-Nation tournament.
